The WIN-IT Action has been promoted in the framework of the “Connecting Europe Days 2022,” the international event dedicated to mobility organized by the European Commission in collaboration with the rotating French Council presidency in Lyon (FR) from June 28th to June 30th 2022. During the event, the initiative was presented through a dedicated stand showcasing the activities planned by the project, which aims at defining the final and executive design of the work necessary to ensure free-flowing navigation on the Mantua-Ferrara and Cremona-Mantua sections of the Po River, as well as the upgrade of the Litoranea Veneta Waterway from Venice to the mouth of the Tagliamento River. The project’s participation to this European event was of great importance, as it represents one of the highest moments of cross-fertilization promoted by the European Commission to address the themes of sustainable infrastructure development, mobility and transportation, and their role in achieving the ambitious goals set by the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.

L’Azione WIN-IT è stata protagonista dell’evento internazionale d’eccellenza dedicato alla mobilità “Connecting Europe Days 2022” organizzato dalla Commissione Europea in collaborazione con la presidenza del Consiglio di turno francese a Lione (FR) dal 28 al 30 giugno 2023. Nell’ambito della manifestazione, infatti, è stata promossa l’iniziativa con uno stand dedicato alla presentazione delle attività previste dal progetto che si pone l’obiettivo di realizzare la progettazione definitiva ed esecutiva dei lavori necessari al fine di garantirne la navigazione a corrente libera nei tratti Mantova-Ferrara e Cremona-Mantova del fiume Po, nonché all’upgrade dell’Idrovia Litoranea Veneta da Venezia alla foce del fiume Tagliamento.
La partecipazione del progetto a questa manifestazione europea è stata di grande importanza poiché rappresenta uno dei più alti momenti di cross-fertilization promossi dalla Commissione Europea per affrontare i temi dello sviluppo sostenibile delle infrastrutture, della mobilità e dei trasporti, e del loro ruolo nel raggiungimento degli ambiziosi obiettivi fissati dal Green Deal europeo e dalla Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
